I got a random text from my friend who tried to build an app with Gemini but couldn’t so she asked me how much it would cost to build the app. She sent me the photo and this is what it looks like.

You probably heard people tell you that anyone can build apps nowadays and you’ve probably seen ads by the AI companies telling you, “you can talk with AI and build an app in an afternoon”.
And you’ve tried but the results are just not good.
You tried to get Google’s Gemini to build you an app but it throws and error at you. Or you ask ChatGPT to build you something and it comes out like a Frankenstein mash up of what you described and what the AI hallucinated.
Don’t worry, I’m not here to tell you that you can’t build an app. You totally can. You just aren’t using the right tools or the right process to get the results you want.
